Outward Bound Poster
To create a poster for the Outward Bound outdoor organisation for ages 10-22 , using techniques of layout and hierachy to produce a well informed poster.
Artist Research & Inspiration
Before starting my designs I researched posters which had already been produced by artists and the outward bound. The Bauhaus style of using shapes to create typography inspired me with this design. There is also a similar poster further down which helped me to incorporate shapes that represented the outdoor surroundings into the letterforms.

Thumbnail Sketches
To begin with I broke the copy down into sections and numbered it in order of importance for the layout. I then started to sketch ideas down on layout paper. I really wanted to emphasise the 'Adventure Calls' headline and make my design fun and inviting to the eye.

Developments
Below are my digital developments, some of them are just experimental and not anything I would take forward. I thought I had finalised the last design however coming back to it I realised the main principles of the brief were not met, plus the colour scheme was a bit too off.
