Technical Skills
For the second brief, the main aim was to teach basic skills that are often overlooked and primarily were used 'back in the day' however are still very relevant to this day and valuable when it comes to design and understanding basic instructions and following them.
Sadly due to my lack of knowledge and experience with certain aspects such as using a craft knife and needing the different materials required I struggled quite badly with this brief.
I found it very difficult to follow the instructions with the little information there was, and found my practical skills regarding cutting, building and even just layouts of mounting pictures were trickier than I had comprehended! Furthermore I know personally during this brief my time management was quite hectic.
Nether the less, I did get some of this project done and have uploaded all I did complete, even the parts of it that were wrong. Somewhere along the way I have mislaid The Perfect Circle cut out, Embossing and Perfect Square pieces of paper. (These were handed in at the time)
I do believe I learnt a lot from this set back and understand the importance of time management, asking others for help and the self discipline needed to carry on with a task even if it isn't perfect and trusting the process of practice makes perfect. I hope in the future that I get another opportunity to improve these skills and surpass this set back, either way I have learned through past mistakes what should not be done.
